Mike Tyson reveals how he showered with his championship belt
In a recent episode of his podcast Hotboxin’, Tyson was asked by guest and Former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman whether he showered with his belt “Did you really shower with that belt?” he asked. The former heavyweight champion then replied with a swift and direct answer that caught the attention of everyone present. “Yes I’m sure I was doing it before, yeah,” Tyson replied.
Tyson’s ‘shower’ confession resonated with Usman, who openly expressed his admiration for ‘Iron’ Mike’s practice. Moreover, he also revealed that he was inspired by this and also wanted to mimic Tyson when he became a champion.

After hearing Tyson’s wild story, ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ claimed that he also wanted to take a shower when he became champion. However, he added that he never got to do this despite being a champion for a long time.

“Early on in my career, I think when I first saw Rashad Evans’ belt, I saw his belt and I was like, ‘Oh man, this is what we get, okay, I’m gonna get it one day.’ And then I saw a picture of you with the belt in the shower, and I said, ‘If I’m ever fortunate enough to win a belt, I’m taking a shower with that.’ I didn’t do it, though,” he said.
