On September 17th, Gennady Golovkin will head towards probably his last fight in the ring. ‘GGG’ will face Canelo Alvarez for the third and final time, and try to avenge his ‘only’ loss in professional boxing. Golovkin is 40 and has had a career that has spanned twenty-two (amateur and professional combined) long years in the sport. It is no doubt that although he is 40, ‘GGG’ looks to be in the tremendous shape of his life. In fact, his last fight that was on 9th of April was won by a Technical Knockout against a 36-year-old Ryōta Murata.

Prior to Canelo Alvarez vs. ‘GGG’, Joe Rogan spoke about ‘GGG’ and “guys” in his camps that specialized in PED/Performance Enduring Drugs. According to Rogan, that ‘GGG’ was in his 40 and still in such an impressive shape for his fights raised eyebrows.

Rogan said, “‘GGG’ is 40 something years old. He’s either 40 or 41. To be more muscular than ever before at 40 years of age is a thing to make you go…hmm…There’s guys in those camps that, they make a lot of money, making sure their fighters are in tip-top condition. If you don’t think there’s guys in those camps that’s specialized in Performance Enhancing Drugs, you’re high!”

Rogan is a ‘GGG‘ fan. In addition, he believes Gennady Golovkin was robbed when he fought Alvarez for the first time. However, Rogan thinks ‘GGG’ has come in touch with ‘scientists’ who offer both “legal and illegal stuff.” He said, “There always have been. There’s always been guys that gave them legal and illegal stuff. Especially back in the days before USADA with the UFC, it was a real problem. The camps had scientists. There were camps that employed people that would check people’s labs and they knew what was to do.”

“It’s wild. There’s ‘GGG’ in his last fight. He looks f***ing good. Maybe not saucy, but definitely as good as he’s ever looked before. I think he won the first fight with Canelo. I thought they robbed him. I’m a big fan though, I love his style, “ Rogan said in conclusion.
