Canelo Alvarez is boxing’s biggest star these days and his fan base has no limits. That’s predominantly why the Mexican boxer has an extensive fan base across other sporting verticals too. One of the elite disciples on his list is the undisputed UFC flyweight king, Brandon Moreno.

Just a couple of days back, Moreno revealed some words of wisdom for his countryman, terming him as a role model. In a chat with ESNEWS, he said, “Man, that guy is a role model, you know. He’s a role model for me, he’s a role model for all the new generations. He’s amazing, he’s the best boxer on the planet, pound for pound right now.”

Also, after his sublime comments on Canelo, Brandon Moreno was lucky enough to bag a workout session with the boxing icon. He learned some valuable boxing lessons from Saul Alvarez, who helped him improve on his body shots.

Canelo is by far the most skilled pugilist and his boxing lessons can help any combat star. That said, he never stops himself from passing on his teachings. This time Brandon Moreno benefited from Alvarez’s lessons.

For now, the Guadalajara boxer is focused on conquering all the 168-pound titles on the line. A fight against the IBF champ, Caleb Plant, is what he needs to achieve his goal. With that, Alvarez is keen to create history, and Moreno, too, is drawing lessons from him about the same.
