Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua is a fight that boxing fans have longed for. The pair was initially supposed to face each other back in 2021, but the fight got canceled after Fury was obligated by an arbitration hearing to face Deontay Wilder in a trilogy bout. This eventually led the fighters to move onto different paths.

However, it looks like the two British boxers will finally meet in the ring. Joshua finally accepted Fury’s terms for a fight. The Gypsy King made a 60-40 purse split offer to AJ. Joshua’s management team, who publically announced that they have accepted the terms of the fight. “258 and @MatchroomBoxing can confirm, on behalf of @anthonyjoshua, that we accepted all terms presented to us by Fury’s team for a fight Dec 3rd last Friday. Due to the Queen’s passing, it was agreed to halt all communication. We are awaiting a response.” 258MGT wrote.

Many fans were expecting Fury to face Oleksandr Usyk after his dominant victory over Joshua. However, Usyk had ruled out fighting again until early next year, which led Fury to call out AJ.

He also added that the former champ should compete with lower-level competition until he regains his confidence. “This is the wrong fight for AJ at the moment he is coming off the back of two losses. He needs to build up his confidence and reset his skills…then to go into another big fight, bad decision…” He wrote. Another fan claimed that fights in boxing were only about money and not competing against the best. “It’s all about money these days….we need the good old Boxing back…instead about business and money.” He wrote.

Moreover, one fan hilariously stated that both boxers were ‘useless’ but wanted to see Fury knockout Joshua. “Both useless in my opinion, but I hope Fury knocks Joshua’s block off,” he wrote. Lastly, one fan insinuated that Joshua might retire after this fight and take home a huge payday. “I guess Joshua is getting last-minute retirement money in.” he wrote.

Although this fight might have been one of boxing’s biggest fights previously. The interest in it has been diminished since Joshua lost his championships.
