Thursday night features a matchup between two inter-conference teams from opposite ends of the spectrum. The second-seeded Milwaukee Bucks will take a trip to the Lone Star State to meet the San Antonio Spurs for the second time this season. The previous encounter saw the Spurs concede 132 points and lose by a 13-point margin. Although the Spurs are aiming to break their three-game losing streak tonight, they will have their work cut out against the second-best scoring team in the league. In addition, their star rookie Victor Wembanyama‘s recent injury also spells trouble for the struggling Spurs.

On the other hand, the Bucks will be hungry for a win after starting the year with a 122-113 loss to Indiana at home. However, this matchup will be their third in four nights, so fatigue might have a part to play. Therefore, as both teams gear up in search of a win tonight, let us look at their star players’ availability.

Milwaukee Bucks vs. San Antonio Spurs: Injury report

Giannis Antetokounmpo has only missed one game this season, on November 15 against the Toronto Raptors. Although he has made several appearances on the injury report right calf injury, he has laced up for every game since. Tonight’s injury report is even more promising since he is not mentioned on the list. The Bucks have done a good job avoiding injuries this season. None of their three All-Stars – Giannis, Khris Middleton, and Damian Lillard have missed significant time off the court this season. They are monitoring only two players on the injury report tonight. Jae Crowder is expected to remain out until mid-January at least after sustaining an injury to the left adductor plus an abdominal tear. AJ Green is listed as day-to-day due to a nasal fracture.

On the Spurs side, Wemby is expected to suit up tonight since he isn’t listed on the injury report. However, he will continue playing under minutes restriction following a flare-up of his ankle injury in Dallas, caused by inadvertently stepping on a ball boy’s foot. He missed his first meeting with the Bucks due to ankle soreness; therefore, the rookie will face off against Giannis for the first time tonight. Zach Collins (ankle) and Charles Bassey (left ACL tear) are ruled out for tonight’s game, while Malaki Branham (ankle) is listed as doubtful.
