The Sacramento Kings took a huge step in the right direction last season. De’Aaron Fox and Co. ended the Kings’ 16-year playoff drought and brought them back to NBA relevance. Even though they lost in the first round to the mighty Golden State Warriors, it was a successful season for them. The Kings want to build on last season’s success and make a deeper run in the playoffs this time.
They have even started making moves to accomplish their goal. According to NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski, the Sacramento Kings are signing another former Warriors veteran.

Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Sacramento Kings are signing Forward Juan Toscano-Anderson to a one-year deal. The 30-year-old played for the Golden State Warriors from 2019 to 2022 and is currently playing with Mexico City in the G League. Anderson is the second ex-Warrior the Kings have shown trust in. They signed former Warriors Power Forward Harrison Barnes in 2018. Barnes was the 7th pick in the 2012 NBA draft, and he won a championship with Stephen Curry and Co. in 2015.

Barnes has been a huge asset to the Kings, and they even gave him a three-year $54 million extension this summer. Kings head coach Mike Brown has similar expectations from Juan Toscano-Anderson. Brown had a strong interest in bringing Anderson to Sacramento as they have known each other since the Warriors’ days. Anderson might be a solid veteran addition to the team and could have a locker-room presence like Garrett Temple.

De’Aaron Fox and Co. have continued their incredible form this season. They are ranked 6th in the Western Conference standings with a 13-9 record. Fox has been the leader for the Kings, averaging 29.5 points and 6.4 assists. His co-star Domantas Sabonis has also been a great two-way presence for the Kings.
