The Oklahoma City Thunder is a wild card in the Western Conference this season. They took on the Los Angeles Lakers and dismantled them on Friday for a 133-110 points win. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was driving the energy bus and put on the highest 33-point effort. OKC are currently ranked third, just below the Nuggets and the Wolves. The Dallas Mavericks are hosting OKC tonight in a showdown hoping to bounce back. The Mavs lost to the Grizzlies on Friday night. They are just one position below OKC in the West. The Mavs were hovering over the top three seed area and OKC isn’t likely to move away anytime soon given how they are putting in a great team effort. The Mavs are still lacking its defense.
Meanwhile, there is an ongoing investigation on OKC swingman Josh Giddey by the board and the law officials in California for being involved with a minor. So is he playing tonight vs the Mavs?

Josh was on court last night against the Lakers where he scored 14 points and posted 7 rebounds. He is not on the official injury list and despite the ongoing investigation; he is eligible to play. Therefore, it’s likely that he won’t miss out on tonight’s game. Giddey is in fine form this season. The 21-year-old is putting up 12.1 points on average per game and OKC is winning on team effort where all five are contributing on both ends efficiently.
Center Wendell Carter Jr. and point guard Markelle Fultz are out of the game due to injuries. OKC is winning games by putting defensive pressure that leads to scoring offense. Shai, Chet Holmgren, Giddey, and Cason Wallace are all available tonight.
