Kobe Bryant was an extremely durable athlete. He played in the league for 20 seasons. It’s because of the way he took care of his body and the conditioning he went through that he was able to play this long in the NBA. His unfortunate Achilles injury was towards the end of his career. Bryant’s work ethic is never questioned. Witnessing his work ethic makes other people get better as well. It has even rubbed off on LeBron James after their stint in the Olympics.

He once proved the Mamba mentality to his rival in the NBA, Allen Iverson. Allen Iverson revealed in his letter to Kobe Bryant on the Players Tribune that Bryant once dropped Iverson off at a club and didn’t go in with him to party. He said he was headed back to the gym to practice. This was during their rookie year. Even though Kobe was younger than Iverson, this made him look up to him in the future.
