Some retired NBA pros just love to prove they have a couple of seasons left in them. JJ Redick has been away from the NBA for a mere two seasons. Now he’s projecting himself like he’s in his sunset years while fawning over another great. To be fair to Redick, his contemporary did go viral with this video. This former player-turned-coach brought out some high praise from Redick.
JJ Redick is now an observer of the NBA court as a sportscaster. He, however, did end his career on a high note that his former teammate still wants to play with him.

Jerry Stackhouse retired from a stacked (pun intended) career spanning 18 seasons and made a swift transition to coaching. After leading the Raptors and Grizzlies, he’s been involved in collegiate basketball. Shortly after his retirement, he proved he could give his young athletes a run for their money.
The clip of Stackhouse outdoing teen players has resurfaced in 2023. “40Yr Old Jerry Stackhouse 1v1 against top ranked High School players,” the tweet read.

Redick is most memorable for launching and balancing a media career alongside his day job in the NBA. It was also his natural talent in free throw shooting and making three-point records that made him famous.
As a college athlete, he made NCAA history with 457 three-pointers during his Duke career. He’d make more records with the teams he played with from 2006 to 2021.

In his final 10 career games, Redick averaged 3.5 points, 0.8 assists, 0.6 rebounds. Jrue Holiday, his former teammate, half-funny/half-seriously tried to pull Redick out of retirement recently.
JJ Redick is cozy in retirement now and enjoying the NBA scene as a sportscaster. Which retired player you think can still go head-to-head with the current class of NBA pros?
