How much would you be willing to pay for sneakers that are famous across the internet by the name of poop shoes? Not much, probably – even for a fresh pair. But it becomes a different story if an ex-NBA player like Paul Pierce donned the sneakers once. Paul Pierce’s infamous ‘poop shoes’ are up for auction on eBay starting from a five-figure auction price. “NBA FINALS 2008 Paul Pierce Game Worn “Poop Shoes”, Game 1 And Game 6 PROMO,” reads the description on eBay.
The Nike Air PP IVs are up for auction, with a starting price of $39,950. It is worth mentioning that the alleged defecation incident dates back to the 2008 NBA Finals. The Boston Celtics were facing the Los Angeles Lakers in the series. It was during the third quarter of the game that Paul Pierce crashed onto the ground after tripping over Kendrick Perkins. He grabbed his knee in pain and was rescued from the court by his team in a wheelchair.

But the 6’7″ player returned to the court after a few minutes and even led his team to the victory against the Lakers. However, Pierce’s brief exit from the game, that too, in a wheelchair, raised some speculations. And the first guess was that he had defecated in his pants.
The speculation turned stronger after the 6’7″ player had stated that he left the court because he went to the bathroom and the wheelchair was because “something went down.” But he changed his stance after this statement with a tweet, “Sorry to bust y’all haters bubble but the only 💩💩💩💩Ing I did June 5 2008 was on the Lakers #factz #haterzgonnahate #”.
The alleged pooping incident did not leave Paul Pierce even after more than a decade

In a podcast episode with Michelle Beadle in 2021, Pierce had yet again faced the question of what actually happened on the night of the wheelchair incident. ‘The Truth’ once again denied the allegations that have been making rounds over the years.
Fact Check: Did Paul Pierce Really Sh*t Himself Within 2 Minutes in Iconic Wheelchair Game?
“If you poop your pants, does it make sense to sit down and mush it in a wheelchair?” exclaimed Pierce. “I would walk back there and go straight to the bathroom. Why would I need a wheelchair if I pooped my pants? You don’t sit down on your poop, right? It doesn’t make sense,” the ex-Celtics star stated on the podcast.

However, it is worth mentioning that the sneakers are obviously not being sold solely because of fact that he was wearing them on the night of the alleged incident. But also because Paul Pierce, along with his team led the Celtics to 2008 NBA championship in those sneakers. How much do you think they are worth?
