WWE lost one of its biggest stars, The Rock, to Hollywood, and it was a tough moment for the wrestling world. Dwayne Johnson, known as The Rock in the wrestling ring, became a movie sensation, leaving a void in the squared circle.
The Nature Boy, a legendary wrestler himself, left the ring too and retired last year from wrestling. However, in a recent interview, Ric Flair has revealed why he doesn’t include The Rock on his wrestling Mount Rushmore.

Dwayne Johnson and Ric Flair, both WWE legends with numerous championships, have taken different paths. Flair retired, while The Rock made a recent WWE return confronting Austin Theory, hinting at a future clash with Roman Reigns. WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair recently opened up about why he doesn’t place The Rock on his personal list of wrestling legends in an interview.
In the eyes of Flair, The Rock’s move to Hollywood took him out of the running for a spot on his Mount Rushmore, a place reserved for only the most revered wrestlers.

While many wrestlers and fans hold The Rock in high esteem and include him in their wrestling Mount Rushmore, Ric Flair’s perspective is unique. Speaking on The Breakfast Club, Flair made it clear that The Rock didn’t make the cut on his Mount Rushmore. Flair praised The Rock’s interview skills but left him off his wrestling Mount Rushmore.
According to Flair, The Rock’s departure from wrestling to chase a career in Hollywood came too early, and for Flair, part of what makes a Mount Rushmore wrestler is longevity.
He also added, “He just had that unbelievable amount of charisma. God! What a great guy”
Flair, despite being a fan of The Rock, believes that The Rock’s short wrestling career excludes him from the wrestling Mount Rushmore. Nevertheless, he did share a few names apart from The Rock that are in his Mount Rushmore.

Flair stated, “Yes, I consider myself the best! Why? Because I am… I’m not on my Mount Rushmore because I believe it’s better to have somebody else put you there, but my Mount Rushmore in terms of importance to the business is Stone Cold, Hulk Hogan obviously, The Undertaker, I think Shawn Michaels.”
He further went on to say, “He is the greatest performer of all time in our business… I consider myself lucky to be considered one of the best.”
