CD Projekt RED had been working on Cyberpunk 2077 for almost a decade before finally releasing the game. To commemorate this long history of development, the studio has included a lot of pop culture references in the game. Many of the campaign missions, NPCs, dialogues, and even photo mode poses include references from popular movies, TV shows, and video games.
Players will see many game references from CDPR’s previous title, Witcher 3. However, the developers have also included references from the most successful games in the last decade. One of these is the evergreen game, GTA San Andreas by Rockstar Games. Big Smoke and CJ are household names for gamers.
Anyone born in the 21st century and who loves gaming probably remembers San Andreas missions and cheat codes like it were yesterday. Naturally, fans were quick to notice a GTA San Andreas Easter egg in Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077 introduces ‘JC’ and ‘Little Smoke’
Inspired by CJ and Big Smoke in GTA San Andreas, CDPR included a dialogue between the duo ‘JC’ and ‘Little Smoke’ in a journal. The dialogue set refers to the iconic ‘Wrong Side of Track’ mission from San Andreas. CDPR, however, did not just stop at the dialogue set.

Cyberpunk 2077’s initial reviews have been slightly controversial. The game has a lot of bugs, giving off the feeling the developers released it before finishing it. Moreover, it is also way too heavy for entry level PC builds as well as older consoles. Subsequently, the performance is extremely poor both in terms of graphics and frames.
While there are a few fixes for some bugs, some of these will still take a while to fix.
