Both Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Clippers will be coming into Tuesday’s game having won their last five games.

The Mavericks have had a few big victories in their previous games. The lowest haul of points that they have managed in the last three games is 137. Over the season, they are averaging 114 points per game. The Mavericks have been led by a Luka Doncic, whose performances this season have drawn parallels to a few of the all-time NBA greats. His average in the season so far is 0.2 assists shy of a triple double- 30.6 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 9.8 assists.

Mavericks win in their last game against Houston Rocket took them to fourth in the Western Conference. The win was once again on the back of Luka Doncic, who scored 41 points on the night, and added 10 assists to it. As much as it is a huge positive for the Mavericks, there also lies a matter of concern.

Doncic, and to an extent Kristaps Porzingis, have so far fired his team to a decent 11-5 record, but the contribution of the players beyond them can  be a matter of concern. There have been very few notable from the others.

The season’s record for the Clippers reads similar to that of their Tuesday’s opponents. They stand a place above the Mavericks with a win-loss record of 12-5, winning five of the last five. Apart from the duo of Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, the likes of Patrick Beverley and Montrezl Harrel have racked up a few performances of their own. For them, the major worry would be their away record, winning just one out of their five away games so far. And Dallas being not one of the easiest places to travel, Clippers have to try hard to improve on their away record.
