Activision recently integrated two of its most recent Call of Duty titles. The studio rolled out Season One for both Warzone and Black Ops Cold War on December 16 as a part of this collaboration. While many players were excited about this collaboration, its launch left most of the community unhappy, including popular streamer Dr Disrespect.
As a part of the collab, Activision introduced almost 30 new weapons to its Battle Royale game, Warzone. The studio imported these guns from Black Ops Cold War and kept the weapon mechanics similar across games. Naturally, this integration made certain new weapons more powerful than older ones, changing the weapon meta in Warzone radically.

Dr Disrespect labels the current Warzone meta as the worst to date
Black Ops Cold War weapons have totally changed the Warzone weapon meta. Players are running around with SMGs, shotguns, and akimbo pistols. These weapons require very little skill, thereby making the game less enjoyable. Dr Disrespect took to Twitter to express his frustration.
Worst Warzone meta to date.
Need a content overhaul.
I'd rather watch Drone racing on ESPN 9.

Doc recommended Warzone to go through a content overhaul less than a month after it got its last major overhaul. The ‘Two Time‘ expressed how the new meta has driven him away from the game. It is possible that the community might see Doc streaming less of Warzone in the future. However, his opinion sparked a new debate among fans of the Battle Royale game.

Debates regarding powerful and unbalanced weapons in multiplayer games have been ongoing since time immemorial. While a lot of players enjoy the meta since it makes the game easier for them, players who prioritize skill consider this as a bad phase for Warzone. If Call of Duty veterans like Dr Disrespect are unhappy with the game, Activision is definitely doing something wrong.
Warzone already has hackers and glitches. Broken guns will only push players farther away from the game. The studio has often consulted Doc on its games in the past. Hopefully, it listens to the streamer and at least makes some changes in the meta, if not a content overhaul.
