As a game with a huge number of bosses to kill, places to visit, and quests to complete, Elden Ring definitely stands out. What makes it stand out, even more, is developer FromSoftware’s attention to detail, which has won them numerous awards over the last year. But there’s only one thing that wins a game: the players and fans, inventive equipment, and weapons.

The developers made sure to add a bunch of unique-looking and unique-behaving weapons to Elden Ring. And here are the 10 weirdest of the lot which are also surprisingly powerful.

Ringed Finger

A truly ridiculous weapon that looks like a giant finger. What’s even weird is that FromSoftware has given this weapon a heavy attack that is basically a finger flick. Ever wanted to defeat some enemies that are too good at guarding against attacks? Use this weapon, and nothing can stop you.

The weapon can be found in Gelmir Hero’s Grave; just grab it and smash your enemies!

Blasphemous Blade

A sword that looks pretty typical at first, but then they start moving. Wait, what? The sword is completely covered by something—some sort of living thing—covering this sword and wiggles all over. It might be one of the most powerful weapons in Elden Ring too if used right.

Players get this creepy sword by defeating the serpent in Volcano Manor.

Dragon King’s Cragblade

A heavy-thrust weapon that looks as intimidating as it is powerful. It requires 37 dexterity to even wield but works as well as one would expect a sword like this to. The bonus comes in form of additional light damage alongside the typical physical damage.

This sword looks normal, but its special attack literally turns the players into a thundercloud. And that is a feature that makes it look very cool.

Ant’s Skull Plate

It’s a giant ant’s head that one can use as a shield. One must have noticed those giant mutant ants in the game. They swarm players and try to kill them even before they are able to attack.
The Ant’s Skull plate is a very huge one which also comes with some really unusual properties.

This giant shield gives players immunity against various ailments. One can find this shield locked in a chest in Nokstella.

Saint Tristan’s Torch

The torch plays an important part in this game. They are used for maneuvering through those dark catacombs and caves. While a basic torch serves that purpose well enough, there are some that do a lot more than just light a player’s path.

One such torch is Tristan’s torch, a torch that burns with a purple flame and when used as a weapon, puts enemies to sleep.

Jellyfish Shield

A shield that’s made out of a jellyfish—the name says it all. This is a very translucent, silly-looking shield that gives players great protection from attacks. When its special ability is used, this gives player characters a boosted attack for a limited time.

It’s one of those shields that negate 100% of physical attacks, which is surprising for a shield that looks not so strong.

Bastard’s Star

Remember that weird astronomical and cosmic creature called Astel, born of the void? This legendary boss is a pain to kill, but its remembrance can give players a very unique flail. This unique flail looks like it’s made out of bones and miniature planets.

And the best part about it is that players can use it to replicate Astel’s Nebula attack, which is great for crowd control.

Grafting Dragon

Grafting is basically at the core of one of the bosses in this game. He basically dismembers his powerful enemies and grafts them onto his own body. And that’s how this dragon’s head works too.

Players attach it to their hand and punch enemies with it, and they can even use this dragon to obliterate those enemies with the dragon fire that this dragonhead is capable of spitting.

Visage Shield

A great shield that is shaped like a huge face and spits fire. This eventually gives players great protection when using it. If players remember those weird flamethrowing vehicles in many games that were basically a huge headache, this is exactly what this shield looks like.

If players have good enough strength, they can surely use this one and burn their enemies to a crisp.

Magma Whip Candlestick

A very interesting weapon that initially looks like a candlestick in the player’s hand. But in reality, it’s a whip. And it’s a very curious weapon at that too as it does not deliver any normal damage, but it basically spits lava all around the player.

A whip is always a source of fast damage delivery, and its special attack is great for times when one feels overwhelmed.
