When Nintendo Switch was released back in 2017, many saw it as a gimmicky underpowered device. Both these were a trademark for Nintendo. But the console went on to become one of the most successful consoles of all time.

It still sells more than the competition, and it still gets a number of anticipated games. Games like Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and Fire Emblem Engage have found enough success on it. And many third-party games have found a sufficient audience on it too.

But there are so many fan-favorite games that have still not appeared on this console!

Star Fox Zero

Star Fox Zero launched on Nintendo’s Wii U. The game was developed by Platinum games and was fun enough to play. The only thing that hindered that enjoyment was the abundance of gimmicky controls.

Fans and critics were waiting for an original Star Fox game over the years and they got this. It was disappointing. But recently fans have started anticipating that these companies would port it to Switch soon, without all that second screen stuff.

It hasn’t been announced yet, and Nintendo Switch is on the last stop of its life cycle.

Splinter Cell Blacklist

Splinter Cell is one of the prime stealth action series. Fans have yet to see a new game in the series. But the last game that Ubisoft released was Blacklist, which got rave reviews. The game itself was very good and offered players a bunch of ways to play it.

This game was released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. Eventually, it came to Wii U too. And that’s why it’s surprising that Ubisoft would port Rayman Legends to Switch, but not Splinter Cell blacklist!

The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD

Wind Waker is an ageless game. When it launched in HD for Wii U it looked as beautiful as its GameCube version. Only it ran in Full HD resolution. And it went on to become one of the most successful games of that unsuccessful console.

That’s why it makes sense for Nintendo to bring it to Nintendo Switch. But it appears expecting things does not make them happen. There are still rumors that Nintendo has been working on this port and it is already finished.

So, it remains to be seen if that port ever sees the day of light!

Valheim the Viking survival!

Valheim is one of the most-played survival games on Steam. The game launched as a surprise to many survival fans, and it won over numerous hearts. Its dark world full of unexpected horrors enticed players.

And like any other survival game, it was expected to release on Nintendo Switch to no avail. Maybe it would be on the next iteration of this console. Maybe it’s too heavy?

Grand Theft Auto V

GTA V not coming to Nintendo’s hybrid console was something that was pretty weird for many fans. Grand Theft Auto Online makes a lot of money, and Switch is more powerful than PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, so it can run this game.

And that’s why this game’s absence on Nintendo Switch would always remain a mystery.
