Popular Insider Reveals Some Baffling Information About Battlefield 2042

While Battlefield 2042 technical playtests is available for a selected few invited users, a new leak reveals some new baffling information. Renowned leaker Tom Henderson reveals on Twitter that the Xbox Series version of the test runs is ‘much smoother than the PC version.

However, an important thing to note is that the smoothness of the game on PC varies on your rig’s specifications.

Is this bad news for PC gamers?

While we happen to know this, do not feel demotivated by this news, as this is an early test run for the builds currently under development. One good news for PC users is that Battlefield 2042 will run best with Nvidia GeForce RTX 20 series or 30 series graphics card. The final version of the game is said to support Nvidia DLSS and Nvidia reflex. These two graphic card series might as well provide the best in-game experience.

DLSS (Deep Learning Scaling) is an AI protocol that renders images in lesser resolution, employing clever up-mixing to present them in a higher resolution. Because of this, DLSS can provide pseudo-4K gaming at high frame rates without pushing the GPU to display games at native 4K resolution.

Nvidia Reflex measures system latency and optimizes games to respond faster to a player’s mouse or keyboard inputs. This feature might be in huge demand for the competitive gamers out there. It is interesting to note that Nvidia GeForce cards from the GTX 900-series are not compatible with DLSS, but Reflex is!

Battlefield 2042 tests for PS5

The Battlefield 2042 test was supposed to take place in PS5, but due to some critical issues, it prevented the PS5 users from participating during this weekend.
