A job posting by EA Motive has suggested their upcoming game would include some RPG mechanics. This means the new Iron Man game would have much more depth in its gameplay than any Iron Man game ever made before. Their job posting is for a senior game designer, and it has some requirements that stand out:

  • Experience working on progression systems and game economies is a plus.
  • Knowledge of recent titles and trends in action games and RPGs and the ability to apply insights from them

This upcoming game would have RPG mechanics, which would be a departure from all the superhero games that we are seeing nowadays. Almost all of them are straight-action titles.
