Epic Games Contradicted As Fans Spot Asset Flips In the Store Despite Their Strong Words

Asset flipping is something that every gaming-based digital store tries to stay away from. And when it comes to Epic Games, the developer and publisher of Fortnite, they have to be even more careful. Unfortunately, it seems like its storefront failed to manage and curate asset flips on the platform. Because just recently, it was revealed that some unwanted gaming titles, like Street Striker, are hanging around on Epic Games’ digital shelves.
For those who are unaware of the term, asset flipping is a very distasteful practice and is often highlighted once in a while in the industry. It happens when some developers fail to do any significant progress with a gaming project.
They just acquire the assets found on many engine stores and eventually sell them on major platforms like Steam. However, it is not always possible to identify asset flips.

Now, observing the current situation, it looks like the Epic Games Store has somehow failed to live up to its own promise. Clearly. Because what the CEO said in 2019 is not what is actually happening right now. Instead, it appears to be a total contradiction of what should have been. Asset flips are not healthy to be featuring on any store, let alone Epic.
Asset flips listed on Epic Games Store since early December are Deadly Flight and Street Striker.
What are your thoughts on this entire matter? Did you expect Epic Games to get lazy with its curation?
