In Starfield, Bethesda has offered a generous weightlifting capacity for players, which is distinct in each four ranks. For example, a rank one player can increase their total item carrying capacity by 10 kilograms, which is 25 kilograms more for the second rank holder player. Additionally, 3rd and 4th rank holders in Starfield can respectively increase their loot carrying capacity by 50 kilograms and 100 kilograms. In fact, ranked 4th players can achieve 50% more resistance to staggering caused by the heavy load.

  • Rank 1: 10 kilograms
  • Rank 2: 25 kilograms
  • Rank 3: 50 kilograms
  • Rank 4: 100 kilograms + 50% more resistance to staggering

2. Stealth

Bethesda has definitely improvised their stealth-related mechanics in Starfield. Although stealth techniques were not up to the mark in Far Cry, the team has definitely given more attention to Starfield. However, stealth is considered one of the best physical skills in Starfield, not because of its effect on the gameplay but for bonuses, which can be unlocked with stealth mechanics. For example, upgrading the skill of stealth in Starfield can help players perform sneak attacks way better.

Bethesda has provided a separate stealth meter, which gives distinct difficulties and damage percentages to four distinct ranks.

  • Rank 1: 25% difficulty to get detected while sneaking. Additionally, they can cause 5% sneak attack damage with suppressed weapons.
  • Rank 2: Difficulty of detection, is 50% with an additional 10% damage with weapons.
  • Rank 3: 75% leverage to not get detected. With suppressed weapons, rank 3 players can cause 15% damage in sneak attacks.
  • Rank 4: 100% detection difficulty with 20% additional sneak attack damages with weapons.

3. Fitness

In Starfield, players have to visit outer space locations where they will repeatedly face breathing troubles. Players opting for the first-person perspective can keep their helmets on during some parts of gameplay. Although oxygen consumption is important what makes it difficult for players is to sustain the oxygen while performing combat or other activities.

With the help of fitness skills, players can retain more oxygen to carry out their actions according to their rank –

  • Rank 1: 10% more oxygen availability
  • Rank 2: 20% more oxygen availability
  • Rank 3: 30% more oxygen availability
  • Rank 4: However, rank 4 holders will have the most of this opportunity as they can use both stream teams and power attacks with significantly less use of oxygen.

4. Concealment

Stealth is an important skill for Starfield, but with the help of concealment, it becomes more effective in the gameplay. Concealment skills in Starfield get trickier as each rank holder gets distinct opportunities.

  • For example, first-rank holders can perform a ranged sneak attack and cause 2.5 X normal damage. This will increase melee sneak attacks to 4X normal damage.
  • For the second rank holder, ranged sneak attacks will offer 3X normal damage, with 5X normal damage with milli sneak attacks.
  • This efficiency will consecutively increase for 3rd and 4th-rank holders as they will get cameleon-like sneaking abilities and cause way more damage with both ranged and melee sneak attacks.

Rank-one players will slowly regenerate their health, whereas it will be quicker for second-rank-holder players. In Starfield, 3rd rank-holder players will gain their health way faster and even regenerate health while engaging in combat. Finally, the 4th rank holder players will experience health rejuvenation at its perfect peak.
