The Amsterdam-based game developers recently revealed a new clip, revealing the Quen tribe in their upcoming Burning Shores DLC. The events of this additional content take place after the main story of Horizon Forbidden West. During this new venture, Aloy will come across a tribe called Quen.

According to the Lead Writer at Guerrilla Annie Kitain, The Quen is a seafaring tribe from across the Pacific Ocean. But they have built a technologically advanced society using their ability to use the Focus. This advantage gave them an edge over other tribes in the Great Delta and uniquely shaped their culture. But their Focus can only access up to a certain point in history, after which they can’t read anything. This limitation of the Quen tribe might cause slight problems for Aloy.

Aside from this new tribe and setting, the visuals are another major aspect of this DLC that will keep the audience hooked to this game. In the teaser, we can see the tropical setting of the Quen tribe with those realistic graphics that look mind-blowing. This was possible because Burning Shores is a PlayStation 5 exclusive, meaning it will use most of this console’s resources.

What do fans have to say about this upcoming DLC?

PlayStation fans are eagerly looking forward to playing this new DLC. Many fans hoped for Aloy to travel to the homeland of her Quen tribe friend Alva. Some fans are so in love with the setting and graphics that they wish to live there. While the majority of the fans are excited about meeting the Quen tribe, some are not happy about this DLC being a PlayStation 5 exclusive.
