Red Dead Redemption is finally coming to PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Switch. But it’s coming with a price tag that fans aren’t happy with. Take-Two Interactive CEO has justified the $50 price for the port but fans aren’t convinced. Many believe that the price would be okay if a remastered version was introduced. However, RDR’s current pricing remains unacceptable for many community members. While the devs have labeled the price as “commercially accurate”, fans didn’t hesitate to express their own views about the matter.
The epic wild west RPG is still one of the best-made games by Rockstar, but fans are disappointed with how much they will have to shell out to play the game on the PS4 or the Nintendo Switch.

Take-Two announced only yesterday that Red Dead Redemption will arrive on the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch after weeks of speculations. The news understandably brought smiles to many fans, but others have taken issue with the $50 price point. Furthermore, with the absence of multiplayer mode, many fans already think the game won’t be worth a purchase.
What made things even worse for PlayStation fans is that the game has been playable in 4K on Xbox consoles for years thanks to their backward compatibility.

Even though the game will be available along with an Undead Nightmare mode, many still can’t wrap their heads around the high price. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnik said, “That’s just what we believe is the commercially accurate price for it.”
More folks at Take-Two also seem to think there’s no issue with the pricing and fans shouldn’t be complaining given what they’re getting.
Fans give their two cents on the $50 tag
However, fans have come forward, slamming the decision and calling out the devs. Furthermore, without any news of a remaster or remake, fans are irked. Byeman has some advice for fellow community members.
Don't buy this at full price. The only way they learn their lesson is if people don't buy into this practice. If you really want it, just wait for a sale. Christmas isn't that far away.

a 13 year old port should be 10 bucks, 20 max! Thats literally how much it was on xbox one for the backwards compatable version.
