Red Dead Redemption is one of the most successful games ever. There’s hardly any doubt about its excellence, in terms of gameplay and gaming experience. Rockstar Games spent years creating this masterpiece, and it paid off in the end.
This open-world action-adventure western was released in 2010 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and was an instant hit. By 2021, it had sold around 23 million copies, and to this day, it has received a sequel that has exceeded it in both quality and success. And now there’s a leak that cements the speculation that this game might be headed to current-gen consoles.

Over the years, fans have been enjoying Red Dead Redemption 2 on their Consoles and PCs. This game has really set some milestones when it comes to visuals in open-world games. With this, they have wondered if they would ever see the prequel on the current generation of consoles or even PC.

A while ago, when Rockstar Games and 2K published Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy: The Definitive Edition, there were rumors that this trilogy would be followed by a remastered Red Dead Redemption. The controversy surrounding that trilogy washed away all those rumors. Some even said that maybe Rockstar decided to cancel that remaster due to the failure of the GTA Trilogy.
But recently, a Korean website seems to have proven this wrong. Someone at Gamatsu noticed that a Korean ratings website has listed this long-awaited Remaster and has rated it. They also confirmed, going by the classification number, that this game is currently rated for consoles.

The fifth anniversary of Red Dead Redemption 2 is fast approaching; it would not be a surprise if Rockstar decides to make this game public, then.
This rating might also mean that this game is also released on Nintendo Switch. If it does, then it would be the first-ever Red Dead game to release on Nintendo’s hybrid console. It would also be the first modern Rockstar open-world title to do the same.
