On the other hand, they are also expected to showcase a bunch of new, unannounced titles. There have been numerous speculations regarding the same as well. And now it seems one more title has joined the list of those rumored unannounced games; a sequel to one of PlayStation 4’s best-looking games.

This changed when they revealed their new game, Ghost of Tsushima. It was a complex game set in Japan which narrated the story of a samurai who has to let go of all his teachings to fight invading Mongolians. This premise made for an interesting story and gave way to numerous exciting gameplay possibilities.

Gameplay-wise, it was an action-adventure open-world stealth game. Players were tasked with exploring Tsushima and ridding the island of those enemy forces. The game was an instant success; its visuals, the inspiration it took from Akira Kurosawa’s movies, and its gameplay were all highly praised. It even received a next-gen version, unlocking 60 FPS.

And now, the news is that a sequel to this game might be revealed very soon. A while ago, a job posting was put up that required applicants to have a “desire to write stories set in feudal Japan” and “knowledge of feudal Japan history.” This meant that the game sucker punch started working on it a long ago.

After that, some job postings were also noticed with details that suggested a multiplayer Ghost of Tsushima game was in the works. Chances are, Sucker Punch is developing a game with a multiplayer mode to accompany it.

Whatever it might be, both of these titles have now spent at least two to three years in development. This means Sony might decide to show them soon enough, or at least tease those games during this showcase.
