YouTube Gaming Set to Rival Twitch as Platform Introduces Beloved Streaming Feature

Following DrLupo and TimTheTatman’s arrival on the platform, YouTube Gaming has even more enticing news for the community. Officials recently announced that they will be adding another beloved feature to take the user experience to the next level.
Head of Gaming, Ryan Watt, took to Twitter to reveal BetterTTV’s plans for the new update. Update version 7.4.0 will bring the best emotes they have to offer to YouTube live chat. And Ryan also shared the image of the pop-up that users can expect as a part of the announcement, using Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob to express how he feels about the update.

They look to improve the overall experience of the viewers while keeping in mind the necessities of a streamer as well. All extra emotes and ban/unban features along with much more are all the work of BetterTTV.
The update is coming out slowly but surely on all browsers as BTTV waits for “Google to approve their application”. It has been noticed that all browsers other than Google Chrome get the updates much faster as the officials at Google generally take their sweet time when it comes to reviews the updates.
BetterTTV also plans on adding a feature that will enable Twitch and YouTube accounts to be linked to each other. This way, users will be able to use the same emotes across both the major streaming platforms. Unfortunately, this might only be available for BTTV Pro Subscription.
