With the F1 offseason underway, all the drivers have found activities to engage in outside of the racetrack. While some of them were seen spending time with their families, others were spotted doing daring activities. The relatively new Mercedes inductee, George Russell, however, has chosen a different path. It seems he is following in the footsteps of Lewis Hamilton.

As one might anticipate, Formula 1 drivers often possess a variety of skills beyond simply going fast around corners. Many are skilled in other sports, while others utilize music as a method to unwind. Back in 2018, Lewis Hamilton contributed to Christina Aguilera’s song “Pipe” as ‘XNDA. Initially, the actual article behind the ‘stage name’ XNDA was unknown. However, Lewis Hamilton publicly admitted on social media in 2020 that he was, in fact, XNDA, making it one of the worst-kept secrets as fans recognized his voice from the get-go.

And now, a few hours ago, Mercedes’ other driver George Russell uploaded a picture on his social media where the younger Briton was seen holding a microphone.

In the caption, Russell wrote, “recording my new Album.”

The fans were quick to notice this. Half of them jokingly asked Russell to diss Hamilton, while others asked for a collaboration between the two.

A few months ago, we had the ‘George Russell is the kind of guy…’ trend. But it seems Russel’s latest antics can have brought us some new meme material.

Twitter F1 fans have urged George Russell to release a collaboration with Lewis Hamilton

The young British player was seen having fun with his teammates throughout the course of the year, and now that he has uploaded a photo of himself holding a microphone while slightly grinning. This surely caught the fans by surprise.

Fans were seen teasing Russell by comparing him with Taylor Swift.
