Max Verstappen has been criticized for being an arrogant driver on multiple occasions, yet those who know him well are aware of his characteristics beyond the racetrack. However, those who previously believed Verstappen to be a disdainful person can now see his humble side as well. Recently, one of Max Verstappen’s fan pages on Instagram uploaded a little footage of the double champion giving an interview. When the interviewer complimented the champion, Verstappen responded in a rather odd way. However, Verstappen’s humility is evident.

Verstappen has always driven aggressively. And this has arguably helped him be the fastest on the tracks. But when the interviewer described Max as the fastest driver on the planet, Verstappen answered in a very modest manner. In the Instagram Video, we can hear Max say, “Well, we don’t know, there are still unknown people out there who have never touched a racing car, but it’s okay.”

The Dutchman has consistently been thought of as a pompous driver because of his risk-taking choices. He might have beaten someone’s favorite team in a tough race on the track, which might have labeled him the title of “Mad Max”. Additionally, some individuals may have characterized him as an egotistical driver in light of his decision to deny his colleague the position.

Despite all the criticism, the Red Bull driver has consistently been the track’s fastest driver. Although Max refused to take the title for the faster man on the planet, he can surely wear the ‘fastest man on track’ crown.

At the age of 17, Max Verstappen entered the world of high-speed racing. Fast forward to today, the man has two world titles and 35 GP triumphs to his credit. Since his debut, the 25-year-old has been considered the next great thing in racing, and up until this point, he has lived up to the hype. The Dutchman has dazzled every Formula 1 fan with his lightning pace and raw talent, and this time the 2009 world champion has rated him as the fastest.

Jenson Button claims that the Dutch Lion is the fastest driver he has ever encountered. While conversing with talksSPORT radio in 2019, Button said, “I think he is the fastest driver that has ever driven an F1 car. I really do. I think he is unbelievably fast. Previously to this year he has made some mistakes as you would expect from a young driver but now he’s doing such a fantastic job. I really do think he is something special.”
