The entire globe is affected in some way or the other now. After the devastating floods that hit the Emilia-Romagna region last May, Canada is now the latest victim of force majeure. Wildfires have been raging across Canada and Quebec. Resultantly, the air quality and the lives of the residents have been jeopardized. But the sport of Formula 1 has always shown solidarity with the community and home hero, Lance Stroll has taken yet another step to prove this.
The Canadian national will be partaking in the Grand Prix this weekend on the streets of Montreal. And while his focus will admittedly be on the race at hand, the 24-year-old Aston Martin driver has spared an effort or two for the North American country. This comes hot at the heels of Charles Leclerc‘s $380,000 worth effort to secure relief for the Emilia-Romagna region.

After struggling in the early part of the season owing to his wrist injury, Stroll has started showing signs of resurgence. Barcelona was step one. But at the Canadian GP, Lawrence Stroll, father to Lance and owner of the team, wants a herculean leap from his son.
Reuters quoted Stroll Sr. as saying, “Those are exactly the plans. Hopefully get two cars on the podium. I’m extremely confident. I believe the car will be very strong around the Montreal circuit, it suits our car well… so I’m really looking forward to going home and really looking forward to a great race.”
