In a recent interview with his team, Mercedes, George Russell, looked back at his debut F1 year at Silver Arrows and seemed pretty pleased with his personal growth. Although Russell believes that the team needs to work on the car, that would help them climb the ladder next season, he sure learned a lot from his teammate, and seven-time world champion, Lewis Hamilton.
In the interview, he said, “The relationship has been harmonious. What impressed me the most with Lewis is seeing how he works with the team, how he gets the most out of the people around him, how he continues to keep morale high when moments are tough and ultimately what I already knew is how damn fast he is and how much of a challenge it is being teammates with a guy like him.”
