Michael Andretti trying to get into F1 is not unknown to the fans. The son of former F1 driver Mario Andretti has applied to FIA for having his own team on the grid. But instead of sitting quietly and waiting for their response, Andretti is “making some moves” to get into F1.

The Andretti family has been trying to get an F1 team for a long time. They even tried to buy current F1 teams like Alfa Romeo and Haas in recent years, however, those deals failed. Now, Michael Andretti is trying to get his own team on the F1 grid for the 2024 season.

FIA is carefully analyzing the request by Andretti for an F1 team. The Formula One governing body is carefully looking into the matter and is taking a lot of time. But Michael is doing everything in his hands to make his dream come true. Further, Michael Andretti is also quite optimistic about FIA accepting his request.

Andretti said, “While we’re waiting, we’re doing a lot of work behind the scenes. We are preparing for it, because we have to start. So we are doing things, hoping that we get a shot at it. We have to start making some moves and hope and pray that the FIA allows us to have a shot at getting in there.”

Michael Andretti is not alone in the queue

Andretti is waiting for a response from FIA and Formula One to accept his request to enter the tournament with his team. However, the American is not the only one in the queue to get into Formula One.
