A specially designed pit garage featuring F1-style banners and APXGP branding has been set up for the production team, allowing them to capture authentic footage in between F1 sessions and support races.

In the ‘Beyond the Grid’ podcast Lando Norris, when asked about the movie, expressed his enthusiasm by saying “I don’t know if I am in it or am I just on the side… I don’t know how it’s gonna work…It’s a pretty cool thing… but yeah, you got Brad Pitt and the stars who are in it. It’s very cool to be a part of that, especially if you’re to be watching it in 20-30-40-50 years.” Lando Norris is eager to be a part of Brad Pitt’s F1 film, even though the specifics of his involvement remain uncertain.

Apple Reveals First-Look at Brad Pitt’s F1 movie

With anticipation building, Apple Studios has provided a first glimpse of the highly anticipated film. Directed by Joseph Kosinski, known for his work on “Top Gun: Maverick,” and starring Damson Idris from “Snowfall,” the untitled project takes place in the world of elite motor racing. Pitt portrays a former F1 driver who makes a comeback with the fictional APXGP team, alongside Idris. The film revolves around the character of Sonny Hayes, an aging F1 veteran who makes a comeback for one final season while mentoring a young rookie driver, Joshua Pearce, portrayed by Damson Idris.

Contrary to initial suggestions, Brad Pitt will not drive a real F1 car during the Grand Prix. Instead, he will pilot a modified Formula 2 car, resembling a modern F1 machine, between the sessions.
