Formula 1 is one of the most exclusive sports out there. If we talk about the available grid spots, only 20 of the most talented and fierce drivers get a chance to take part in this cut-throat competition. So once these pilots have made it into the sport, it is only fair that they are paid handsomely. However, not all drivers are paid the same.

A fan replied to the comment above saying, “Unfortunately it’s true, McLaren are paying Daniel a hell of a lot of money because of how high his stock was at Renault but as we know all of that money has gone to waste because it’s only one side of the garage getting the results”

In a nutshell, fans were not happy seeing Leclerc getting paid $3M less than Ricciardo, while the former is technically a championship contender who sits in P2, 9 spots, and 208 points ahead of the latter.
