The winter of 2008 was a time when the entire world stood still. The stock market crash had caused chaos in the grid. Teams were giving it their all to survive, but the Honda Racing F1 team was on the brink of failing. The Japanese icon made a statement that shattered many fans, announcing their withdrawal from the sport before the 2009 season. However, little did the sports fans know – they were heading into one of the most fairytale-like F1 seasons of all time.

With the future of the team up in the air, there was one man who stepped up to the occasion – Ross Brawn, a technical director credited with Michael Schumacher’s championship years with Ferrari and Benetton. Along with Nick Fry and other members, Brawn led a buy-out of the team. Since it was his brainchild and he had a majority stake at 54%, the team put in its application to aptly be renamed Brawn GP. The combination of Brawn’s strategy and aero, along with ace drivers like Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello, was a championship-winning recipe. They would go on to dominate the grid, winning 8 out of the 17 races that season!

But fans on Twitter were delighted to find out that there is a documentary being made on the infamous one-season wonder! Jenson Button shared the trailer for the documentary, sending fans into a frenzy when they found out who was involved! After mesmerizing audiences with his movies like The Matrix, the Canadian took to the gaming industry and delivered Cyberpunk 2077 – a fantastic RPG. But the John Wick actor has now set his sights on the pinnacle of motorsport. A Keanu Reeves F1 documentary is in the works revolving around Brawn GP.
