Many F1 teams came up with upgrades for the Spanish GP. However, the Aston Martin F1 team came up with a significant upgrade for the AMR22. But the revamp look earned them the nickname ‘Green Red Bull,’ so the Red Bull team principal, Christian Horner, shared his thoughts.

Milton Keynes team has one of the best cars this season, while the Aston Martin are struggling with AMR22. By the looks of it, the Silverstone team, for the Spanish GP, has come up with a similar-looking design to the Red Bull car. The new upgraded sidepods closely resemble those of the RB18.

However, it wasn’t the first time for the English team to copy another team’s design. In 2020, Aston Martin (formally known as Racing Point) copied the championship leader, Mercedes, to come up with a ‘Pink Mercedes.’

This time around, they have come up with a ‘Green RB18’. However, the British F1 team amazed Horner for building a car that closely resembles the RB18.

The Red Bull team principal said, “It is quite a thing to instruct your team to come up with a very close-looking clone of our car. A few people have moved over the winter period, and what you can’t control is what they take in their heads.”

The F1 world is amazed to see the revamped Aston Martin car that resembles the RB18. The Red Bull team principal complimented the English team for the close resemblance to their car. But he hopes that none of their car’s designs got leaked and wants FIA to look into the matter.

Horner reported, “But what would be of grave concern to us would be if any IP had in any way changed hands. That is where we rely on the FIA to do their job. They have all the access, and we will be relying on them heavily to ensure that no Red Bull IP has found its way into that car.”
