How will Carlos Sainz cope and what next for Sebastian Vettel

For the moment, Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris enjoy a good relationship in McLaren, but nothing lasts forever. Eventually, the Spaniard also is aware that he has to think about what is best for his own career. If an opportunity in a top F1 team arises, he is definitely not going to sit back and let it slip through his fingers.

Meanwhile, one also has to wonder what is next for Vettel’s future in Formula One. Since he has left Ferrari, a top class driver of Vettel’s calibre should surely attract offers by the dozen. At best, Vettel could possibly head to McLaren if Sainz does join Scuderia Ferrari. Another option is Renault, with Daniel Ricciardo taking Sainz Jr’s place in McLaren.

In the worst case scenario, Vettel could call time on his racing career. The coronavirus pandemic has already left him a lot to think about, regarding his future. However, if he still has the racing bug in him, there is nothing stopping him from exploring other racing series.

Meanwhile, Carlos Sainz Jr is only 25-years old and has his entire career blooming in front of him. The Spaniard broke McLaren’s podium drought last year at the topsy-turvy Brazilian Grand Prix.
