As the drivers saw the chequered flag to a rather eventful race, the emotions were contrasting in the Ferrari’s garage. On one side, there was Sebastian Vettel with his first podium of this season. Unfortunately, on the other hand, stood a “disappointed” Charles Leclerc.
The Monegasque had the podium in his eyesight for most of the race, but one tiny mistake in the final lap meant that he had to give up the podium spot to his teammate. Following the race, a dejected Leclerc expressed his view on the race.

“Yeah, I f***ed it up in the last corner; nothing to say, I mean, in the last three corners,” he said. “So, at the end, the end results count. I’ve been good for one part of the race, but sh*t when it matters and that’s it; fourth. I’m so disappointed.”
Like Leclerc pointed out, he was extremely competitive through most of the race and it looked like P3 could be his. Unfortunately, in the final lap, his attempt at getting past Sergio Perez destroyed his chances of standing on the podium.
