Why is the F1-Pre Season Testing Important?
As reported by Formula1.com, the test is important so that the teams can carry out the system checks that they have made during the development of the cars.
It is also important so that the teams can gather the data from the aerodynamics of the car. After they gather the data from the aerodynamics, they compare it to the figures from their wind tunnel simulations. This gives the teams an idea of whether they have gained or lost in terms of performance as compared to the previous season.
