The Australian Grand Prix is right around the corner, and so is Daniel Ricciardo. It doesn’t matter if he is a driver on the grid or not; the honey badger has to be there for it, and Red Bull has ensured that. Plus, he has brought two rivals on the grid closer than ever. The presence of the Aussie is enough to brighten up the mood and keep things in order. The influence he carries in his smile is contagious enough that even Red Bull’s rival, Mercedes, is a fan of the Perth-born driver.

Mercedes admin, catering to the fans of the honey badger, which without a doubt includes all F1 fans, posted a video of the iconic shoey celebration. While we have been used to seeing it on the podium by Danny himself, with the sparkling wine, we’ll take this tribute from Monster Energy Drink as well.

With his trademark grin and infectious personality, Ricciardo exudes a sense of cool confidence that even the most seasoned drivers can’t help but admire. And while his time with Red Bull may be in the rearview mirror, not only they but also Mercedes know that having Ricciardo in attendance is essential to keeping the energy high, and the fans engaged.

A Daniel Ricciardo smile a day, keeps the doctor away

Sebastian Vettel once said, “Everyone is a Ferrari fan. Even if they say they’re not, they are Ferrari fans.” Now, the fans have tweaked the quote a bit and replaced the subject with Daniel Ricciardo as they continue to admire the Aussie. The Mercedes’s admin was thanked by the fans for showing respect and keeping the spirit of Shoey alive in Danny’s absence.

In the end, we would just reiterate a fan saying, “Kiki ra ra”, to keep the flow going. We may not be seeing Daniel Ricciardo race in the Australian GP, yet he will be the favorite of the home crowd, giving tough competition to McLaren rookie and fellow Australian, Oscar Piastri.
