Former Mercedes man, and teammate to Lewis Hamilton, Nico Rosberg, has blatantly taken sides. After the way things unraveled at Mercedes between the two men, the hatchet seemed to have never gotten buried. In addition, Nico is on team Max Verstappen. The F1 champion believes that the Dutchman is extremely talented.

In a recent interview, Nico Rosberg shared his two cents on all things F1. Despite his bad blood with Hamilton, he believes that Hamilton is a good driver. However, Max, in comparison, is way beyond. He believes that the performance that Max is showcasing is rather ‘insane.’

The Former Mercedes man has lately been extremely been vocal with his praises for the Dutchman. Highlighting the incredible driver that he is, Nico claimed that Max will go down as one of the best of all time- which he is currently.

Nico got candid in the interview. He said, “I would say that Lewis Hamilton would be at eye level, so at about the same level, if he were in the same car.”

“But what Max Verstappen is currently showing is insane,” he concluded.

The former Mercedes man couldn’t help but admire the rising Dutch Lion. For a driver who is only the age of 25, having achieved the all the wins that he has, broken records of legends in the sport and showcasing undivided, and commendable focus, Nico credits the Red Bull man for being the absolute best that the sport has seen.

Nico is confident that Max will go on to script histories in F1. He said, “He’s already one of the best of all time and I think he’s only getting started.”

“He’s going to confirm that in the next decade, certainly. His level of driving is phenomenal and it’s great to witness that,” he said, in conclusion.
