Fernando Alonso and Aston Martin had an average weekend in Austria. While the new upgrades were supposed to shine better than they did in Canada, the Ferrari and Lando Norris’ results took the shine off Alonso’s performance. The Spaniard finished P5 after Sainz’s post-race penalty. Nonetheless, Alonso has put the Austrian weekend behind him as he looks forward to Aston Martin’s home race at Silverstone. 

Aston Martin is bringing another huge upgrade to the British GP. The new factory is now running and might’ve had a slight impact on the upgrades. Regardless of whether the new upgrades are coming from the new factory or not, one cannot ignore the fact that Lawrence Stroll’s $254 million worth of facilities is a piece of art. Fernando Alonso visited the same and was left in awe.

I visited the new Technology Campus this week and every time I come here it is very impressive and an exciting place to work. It’s a real sign of intent for the future of the team. I can’t wait to see what we can do this weekend in front of the British fans .”

Alonso is looking forward to showing the Aston Martin prowess that we’ve seen throughout the season in front of British fans. And if the Silverstone upgrades work like the ones in Canada did, we might as well have a car that’ll be very competitive.

According to Firstsportz.com, Fernando Alonso, talking about the British GP said, “We should be OK. Silverstone is an incredible track to drive with the fast corners. We will be racing at home with the factory just 50m away, so we will give it our all.”
