In an interview with Italian Autosprint, Barro discusses the Spaniard’s training program and how, while leading such an opulent lifestyle, Alonso manages to maintain peak performance.

While crushing Alonso’s bad guy image, Barro reveals his true lifestyle, “ We pay particular attention to the health triangle: structure, emotion and nutrition. In addition, the life of a good athlete is also important, and he has followed that all his life: going to bed early in the evening and getting up early in the morning. Rarely drink, never smoke. That’s the basis.” Later, he added, “Edoardo (Bendinelli) and I are not wizards, but we are constantly looking for the best experts in different subjects. ‘Fernando (Alonso, ed.) doesn’t take anything without a good explanation, so of course someone must know about it.”

Since Alonso has set his sights on Mission 33, many people have questioned whether he will retire from racing or keep competing if he doesn’t succeed. And now the Spaniard has chosen to express his opinions on that.
