Ever since the summer break in F1 began, the Ferrari driver duo of Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc have garnered a lot of eyeballs on their personal lives. Their new girlfriends have been the primary reason for this increased attention. Although it hasn’t all been for the good reasons too. Rebecca Donaldson who is Sainz’s new partner seems to often be attacked by fans on social media for unsavory reasons such as dating the Spaniard to get the limelight. Meanwhile, Leclerc’s latest love interest Alexandra Saint Mleux has faced a lot of backlash on one of her old tweets that was seemingly discriminatory. Apparently, this accusation narrative has carried on as the F1 caravan reaches the Mexican GP.

Rebecca and Alexandra have faced the cliched-old accusation of dating famous sporting personalities to gain good PR and media attention from fans. Of course, the unofficial nature of both their relationships with Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc only fuels speculation & gossip material for fans. Still, their consistent appearances at F1 race weekends are pushing fans to keep attacking the Ferrari drivers’ latest girlfriends.

Alex and Rebecca started appearing together on the F1 grid at the United States Grand Prix. Considering that the duo shares a common interest in modeling, it makes sense why they both have gotten along well, so quickly. However, with their entrance at the Mexico City track, fans online made some shocking comments, especially about their outfits.

“This looks so fake to me, but I also think the idea of dating for PR is so absurd, I don’t know what to think anymore” A somewhat relatable comment. Whether this looks fake or not is up to debate. The idea of dating for PR is indeed quite absurd, if true.

“PR for Ferarri is working so hard hehe” Whether this is an unofficial push from the Ferrari PR team or not, it seems as if Alex and Rebecca are not going to be left alone by fans to enjoy their relationships, amid all these eye-catching race weekend appearances.
