As if 2023 couldn’t get worse for Charles Leclerc. It seems like frustration has once again returned, with this around following him at the Mexican Grand Prix. His rather interesting response on the team radio about Carlos Sainz does not convey good news for the Ferrari fans. As even the F1 commentator predicted an uncomforting result for the Tifosi, at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.

Following his controversial disqualification at the US GP due to post-race plank-cheeks, Leclerc was determined to have a better result in the Mexican Grand Prix. However, with Ferrari having a disappointing end to the Practice 3, Leclerc might already lost his determination. As this was further visible with his team-radio talk about Carlos Sainz’s lap. This also left the commentators to notice the frustrations kicking in for the Monegasque driver.

Charles Leclerc Mexican GP frustrations: An early sign of a bad weekend?

With Ferrari being the laughter-stock countless times, the Mexican Grand Prix only provided more bad news for the Tifosi fans. Thanks to Leclerc finishing 13th and Sainz finishing 15th at the Practice 3 session of the GP. Ferrari now finds their qualifying pace absolutely unknown.

The Practice 3 session for the Ferrari drivers got even more challenging as Leclerc had to back out due to a slow-moving Kevin Magnussen, and Sainz spun out to avoid a similarly slow Lance Stroll. As this ultimately led to both of them not being able to recognize the SF-23’s true qualifying-pace, under the time limit.

Upon learning Sainz’s lap time, nostalgic frustrations were noticeable in the voice of Leclerc. During his team-radio talk, he stated, “Yeah, whatever….. There is nothing to learn from the second lap” A clearly disappointed Leclerc, as he can’t catch a break.
