The Singapore GP was full of off-field drama, majorly involving 2 teams – Red Bull Racing and Aston Martin. The rumors of Red Bull breaching the $145M budget cap were not well received. Mercedes and Ferrari took brutal digs at the Christian Horner-led team for any potential breach by RBR.

The FIA released an important press release statement explaining their stance on Red Bull’s potential financial breach.

The FIA mentioned that they won’t conclude the analysis of the financial submissions by 5th October, which was the initial date. FIA’s new date given for the result is 10th October. Furthermore, the FIA also dismissed the rumors surrounding any potential leak of information from their end.

The statement said, “As previously communicated, there has been significant and unsubstantiated speculation and conjecture in relation to this matter, and the FIA reiterates that until it is finalised, no further information will be provided.”

Red Bull and Aston Martin Racing are the two teams rumored to have exceeded the budget cap last year. The statement further mentioned, “The FIA also reiterates that any suggestion that FIA personnel have disclosed sensitive information is equally baseless.”
