Verstappen became the most successful Dutch Formula 1 driver after his first race win. The Belgian-born Dutch driver is raising the bar ever since. No Dutch driver in the sport’s history comes close to Verstappen’s achievements. Verstappen’s achievements not only bring pride to his family or close ones, but to his entire nation. This is not just a speculation, this is an admission from a fellow Dutchman part of the Manchester United FC clan.

The Dutchman we are talking about is the man leading United’s men in the English Premier league. We are talking about Erik Ten Hag. Ten Hag himself led his team to his first trophy in England by winning the Carabao Cup. So during an interview with Sky Sports, when the Dutch manager was asked to impart some wisdom to young Verstappen, he only had high praise for his countryman.

He said, “Tips I don’t have because he showed such massive performances. He is such a good driver in first place but also he is such a great personality. Such a winner! So he knows to win and I’m sure he will do this year the same because he showed consistently. He is young but already so experienced as well.”

“So we are really proud of him in the Netherlands and I wish him good luck for the season and bring again the world title to the Netherlands,” he added, showcasing his appreciation for the F1 champion.
