The outspoken and good-natured Sebastian Vettel always uses his platform wisely to talk about important issues. If you’ve been paying attention, one such issue that Vettel often talks about is climate change. The German uses creative ways to communicate the severity of global warming.
Safe to say, Vettel is an advocate for climate change. Someone walking on a similar path is Greta Thunberg, the 19-year-old Swedish activist. However, the retiring Aston Martin man does not seem to agree evidently from his comments on a statement about Thunberg being an activist.

He said, “I don’t know. Is Greta an activist, or is she just a very concerned citizen of our planet?”
“Greta has Asperger’s syndrome. For her, what’s so confusing—and also so sad-is that I think she’s just very honest about what she feels. For her, our inaction on the climate crisis just doesn’t make sense, because it doesn’t make sense.”

“And whereas everybody else is sort of numb to it-we have lives, we have things going on, we have other interests, and all of that-she is just being logical. ‘Why do I need an education when the world is going to be uninhabitable?'” Vettel concluded his take on Thunberg.
For the unaware, Asperger’s syndrome is a disorder that falls under the Autism spectrum. The disorder affects one’s ability to effectively socialize and communicate.

The German who entered the Formula 1 fold at the young age of 20 wasn’t always as concerned. Instead, Vettel grew concerned over the course of his career.
He explained, “For sure, I look back at some things now, and I wonder, why did I not maybe put one and one together earlier? Or why did I do certain things like flying around the world, like using private jets? This is stuff you have to decide for yourself now.”
