Red Bull are still recovering from the wounds that they endured last weekend at Silverstone. As Lewis Hamilton was fighting to get the lead, he “took out” Max Verstappen.
The Brit did get a 10-second time penalty for the incident, but Team Principal, Christian Horner, is pursuing the stewards for a harsher penalty.
Horner takes another jab at the 7-times world champion, stating that he should have braked earlier instead of going for that turn. This further adds fuel to the fire between the war going on with Mercedes and Red Bull.

Mercedes have moved on from the Verstappen incident
The Raging Bulls have fought hard to give the 7-time world champion a harsher penalty. However, their recent right to review the incident was shot down by the stewards.
The Silver Arrows want to put the Silverstone chapter behind them and wish that their rivals, stop ruing Hamilton’s name, but look forward to battle them on track.
Their statement read, “The Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team welcomes the decision of the stewards to reject Red Bull Racing’s right of review.”
— Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team (@MercedesAMGF1) July 29, 2021
In addition to bringing this incident to a close, we hope that this decision will mark the end of a concerted attempt by the senior management of Red Bull Racing to tarnish the good name and sporting integrity of Lewis Hamilton, including in the documents submitted for their unsuccessful right of review.
“We now look forward to going racing this weekend and to continuing our hard-fought competition for the 2021 FIA Formula One World Championship.”
