What could’ve been a flying start to the 2022 season for Red Bull turned out to be an absolute nightmare. The Milton-Keynes-based team has suffered double casualties right in their first race of the year. However, the season is very long and there’s still time to improve as Red Bull’s top engineers check out the Ferrari F1-75s.

Ferrari’s F1-75s are not only great-looking cars but they are also some of the most aerodynamically sound machines on the grid. At least that’s what we’ve seen over the course of Bahrain qualification and race this week. The Italian cars outpaced everyone to take home a one-two.

On the other hand, Red Bull has some work to do on their cars. Currently, the Austrian team’s biggest concern is the suspected problem that forced Max Verstappen as well as Sergio Perez to retire from the race.

Red Bull top engineers Adrian Newey and Paul Monaghan took some glances at the Red F1-75s just before the start of the race. Although Red Bull engineers can’t physically go out there and test the cars themselves, all they can do is to look at them thoroughly to take some positives out of them.

What made Ferrari so special?

Ever since Ferrari launched their challengers for 2022, there were praises all around. The fans loved it and now the engineers are loving it too. The Maranello-based team has suffered the least problems in their testing at Barcelona and Bahrain.

The Barcelona testing was fair, to say the least. Coming to Bahrain, they’ve had the least of problems out of all the teams. Mercedes are still struggling with porpoising, while Red Bull has other technical issues to deal with. Teams like Alpine, Aston Martin, McLaren are way behind in terms of performance as of now.
