As the United States is set to host Miami Grand Prix this season, the preparations are in full swing. This will be the second F1 race in the US followed by the Circuit of The Americas race in late October. The Miami GP is set to take place in the second week of May.

The race is set to take place in the Miami International Autodrome, as the track is under a 10-year contract with the F1 authority. It has a length of about 5.410 km (3.362 miles) long and there will be a total of 57 laps of the race.

In the pictures, one can see how the places around the iconic Hard Rock Stadium are getting decked up. The organizers have moved the track from the downtown area to Hard Rock Stadium and its nearby parking lot.

Marcel Louis-Jacques, an ESPN reporter has conveyed, “Hard Rock Stadium is in a fascinating state right now. Hosting the Miami Open tennis tournament, three months removed from hosting a college football playoff game, two months removed from hosting an NFL regular-season finale, and in 5 weeks it’ll host an F1 race”

What makes the Miami F1 Grand Prix so anticipated?

Miami is a major center for trade, finance, entertainment, culture, and arts. One of the major cities in the United States, the city of Florida, is also famous for being a major tourist attraction, only second to New York City. Miami is also known as the getaway of Latin America. Hence, the maiden F1 race here brings about a different anticipation altogether.

Moreover, the popularity of the sport has erupted in the US following the release of Netflix’s Drive to Survive. All in all, the upcoming Miami Grand Prix should be a treat to watch for fans all over the world.
