Fossaroli clarifies, “I don’t know. He say now ’24 or ’25 you know how is Alonso. He likes to–sometimes–you know when he makes some declarations you know how he is. Like he criticized Lewis and then last race, after Australia he said what a driver.”

While we have never seen Alonso in this avatar, it is not a surprise it came out for a teammate he called his “hero” in Bahrain, especially after he himself pulled class moves on Hamilton.

Following the race, when asked if he feels like Stroll’s big brother, Alonso replied by saying, as reported by GPBlog.com, “In a way, yes. I know that I will be in the sport for a few more years. After that, he (Stroll) will lead the team for the next 10 or 15 years. So I hope I can help Lance as much as I can in the next few years.”
